Investors cannot file lawsuits in court directly in issues involving violations by real estate developers. The Dubai Land Department must be involved, ruled the Court of Cassation.
The court pronounced the legal principle when a buyer filed a case against a real estate development company requesting to have the deposit amount of Dh1.76millon returned.
